We've been doing this for a long time. We're seeing pain points we can't personally scale to address.

The coaches we encounter, in our own practice, in the organisations we work with, in the teams we've trained, are operating in environments their training didn't prepare them for. Strategy refreshing mid-engagement. Technology changing between sessions. The client's role potentially not existing in eighteen months.

Most coach training assumes the world stands still while your client thinks. Ours doesn't.

We have been working at the forefront of innovation and organisational change for decades. We know how to coach people through it. We know which models hold and which break down. We know what coaches need that they're not currently being given. This programme is our attempt to make that available to the sector, at the scale we can't reach one engagement at a time.

Cordet is the firm's specialist in evaluation and complex research, the work that shows whether change actually landed. Her depth is the differentiator: 8 degrees including 2 doctorates, with command of research methods, quantitative and qualitative analysis, ethics and impact reporting. A qualified Occupational Psychologist, she turns rigorous evidence into organisational and leadership change. She is also the creator of MIRROR, a specialist intervention that repairs communication in boards and complex teams.

National delivery, Project5

Project5 was a free national wellbeing and coaching service for NHS staff, built by Craig and Cordet at the start of COVID and run entirely by volunteers. At its peak it delivered over 4,000 sessions per week.

Building and running that service required us to design a complete training and supervision infrastructure for over a thousand practitioners, with governance standards, quality assurance, impact reporting and evidence collection. This programme is built on what we learned.

It was recognised with a Prime Minister's Points of Light award and closed in 2025 having fully met its founding mission.

What's in the programme

01 · Core skill

Formulation before model.

Coaching that meets your client's actual complexity, not a framework that doesn't fit. Formulation is the clinical psychology approach to understanding what's actually happening before designing any intervention. Most coaches aren't taught it. All of them need it.

02 · Applied skill

Coaching across change cycles.

Practical skills for environments where the situation moves between sessions. How to hold a client's development when their context keeps shifting. How to work with uncertainty as the medium, not the obstacle.

03 · Theory into practice

Behavioural economics for coaches.

The science of what happens when no one's coaching, how people actually make decisions under pressure, in groups, in organisations. Applied directly to the coaching context. Changes how you listen, what you notice, and how you intervene.

04 · Structure

Foundation through to specialist.

Enter at the level that fits you. Each stage stands alone as a complete CPD unit, or progresses toward UXC certification. New coaches, experienced coaches, and senior coaches wanting to specialise all have a clear pathway through the programme.

Led by Craig and Cordet, in collaboration with proven expert coaches from our impact network. Every practitioner who contributes to the programme has a real track record. Nobody is introduced as an expert without the CV to back it up.

We keep cohorts intentionally small. The learning depends on peer interaction and supervision quality, both require a group small enough to know each other.

UXC certification pathway

Each stage stands alone as a CPD unit. Completing the full programme leads to UXC certification, designed to BPS professional standards by Cordet Smart.
