Our work·Change at scale
One county, 120 teams, and change capability that stayed.
Our change management service, run as a regional programme across the whole of Devon. Over 120 NHS teams, regional conferences, leadership coaching, and educational assets every team kept after we left.
Primary Care Digital Optimisation. Change management: a regional programme across the whole of Devon.

What happened, and what came of it.
The Devon Digital Accelerator pilot had shown what support helps leaders of change in primary care: coaching, training, time with peers, and reflective space to be strategic about the future.
The next question was how to offer that to every team in the county, not a pilot group, as they optimised online consultation.
A regional programme built around the issues primary care leaders themselves raised about optimising online consultation.
Conferences for change leaders covering those issues. A programme of group coaching so leaders could become change capable, drawing on the learning from the original pilot practices. Educational assets for all of the teams.
Over 120 NHS teams across Devon took part.
The design built change capability inside the teams rather than around them, so the conferences, coaching and assets left behind a capacity that did not depend on us being in the room.

Devon Digital Accelerator
Devon NHS STP
We provided the change management programme and the research evaluation, delivered as learning reports, to the Devon NHS STP. It supported the rapid rollout of online consultation across general practice, and then fed the national change programme during COVID-19. The work won a Digital Innovation Award, and NHS England subsequently commissioned us to coach the national primary care digital transformation team.

NHS COVID-19 coaching approach
NHS wellbeing response
A co-developed training approach to upskill coaches and therapists for the conditions NHS staff were actually working in. Over 1,000 coaches have been trained to date, and the approach was accredited by the Association for Coaching.

Coaching selection framework
National, multi-stakeholder
Research and development, with multiple stakeholders, of a key skills framework and a selection tool for recruiting coaching professionals into medical contexts where trauma is a risk. The tool was used to select 500 coaches from a pool of over 2,000 applicants, and was endorsed by all the national coaching bodies.
